City of Wixom supports district’s McKinney-Vento program

The City of Wixom presented Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ McKinney-Vento program with a $575 check at the April 4, 2024 Board of Education meeting.

The City of Wixom held its first Gala on March 8, 2024, where it selected the McKinney-Vento program as the beneficiary of donations collected at the event. Student Service manager Patti Harthun and McKinney-Vento liaison Tammy Hunter presented at the Gala and spoke about the services the program provides to families and homelessness within the local community.
