Cathy Wolfe receives Golden Apple Award

Dublin Elementary parent volunteer, Cathy Wolfe, received a Golden Apple Award at the September 5, 2024 Board of Education meeting.

Wolfe was nominated by Dublin Elementary teachers Gina Delizia and Jennifer Weckstein for volunteering in every aspect of the school. She tackles any and every project that comes her way, and she tackles them head on with excitement and a never-ending energy.

Wolfe served as Dublin Elementary’s PTA treasurer for the 2023-24 school year and was one of the school’s Color Run coordinators. She also took on the role as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for her daughter’s troop at Dublin Elementary, a role she’s had for the last three years.

“Cathy is a positive role model as she takes on so many different leadership positions in the school,” wrote Delizia and Weckstein. “She is eager to help in the classrooms with students, eager to help fundraise for the PTA, and determined to make sure funding at the school is used in a way that will benefit both the students and staff.”

“Cathy has been a part of many new initiatives at Dublin as the treasurer of the PTA, and as the treasurer, she supported teachers by helping their visions come to life,” Delizia and Weckstein added. “She helped bring Mr. Peace to Dublin for grade-level assemblies, helped build the new literacy library, sought out funding for a book vending machine, and then helped create Dublin’s first-ever Color Run.”
